CAR’S COUNTRY OF ORIGN

Audi is a famous German luxury car maker founded in Zwickau, Germany and now based in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. The Audi car company was founded by August Horch, starting the A. Horch & Cie. company in 1899. Horch became Audi in 1909, officially becoming Audiwerke GmbH on the 25th of April, 1910.

BMW is a famous German luxury car and motorcycle maker founded in 1916. The BMW company originally made aircraft engines, then started making motorcycles in 1923, and automobiles in 1929. The BMW brand is now synonmous with luxury and high performance.

Porsche is a famous German sports car maker founded in Stuttgart and now based in Zuffenhausen, Germany. The Porsche car company was founded in 1931 by the Ferdinand Porsche, along with his son Ferry Porsche. The first Porsche design took much from the Volkswagen Beetle, which the Porsches also worked to create.

Volkswagen Group is a famous German car maker founded in 1937 by the Nazi goverment to build the Volkswagen or "The People's Car" for Germans. Ferdinand Porsche was employed by the government to develop the vehicle.

Ferrari S.p.A. is a famous Italian sports car manufacturer based in Modena and Maranello, Italy. The Ferrari car company was founded by Enzo Ferrari in 1929 and was first called Scuderia Ferrari. The Italian car makers first built their reputation on the car racing track and didn't start making street legal Ferraris until 1947. Much of the car technology that Ferrari learned from racing was transferred to their road cars, which has created the Ferrari legend and made them highly sought after by motorists around the world.

Lamborghini or Automobili Lamborghini is a famous Italian sports car maker founded in Sant'Agata Bolognese and still based in the small Italian village near Bologna, Italy. The Lamborghini car company was founded in 1963 by the tractor maker Ferruccio Lamborghini.
Chevrolet or Chevy is a famous American car maker founded in 1911 by the Swiss/French racing car driver Louis Chevrolet and the American automobile pioneer William C. Durant (also founded General Motors).

Ford Motor Company is a famous American automobile maker founded in 1903 by the man that revolutionized the car industry, Henry Ford. The Ford company continues to manufacture vehicles and is one of the largest car making companies in the world.

General Motors Corporation or GM is a famous American car maker founded in 1908 by William C. Durant. The GM auto company continues to manufacture vehicles and is one of the largest car making companies in the world.

Honda Motor Company or Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki-gaisha is a famous Japanese automobile maker founded in 1948 by Soichiro Honda. Honda has grown to become one of the most respected automobile companies in the world with a reputation for quality, reliability, and more recently economical.

Mazda Motor Corporation or Matsuda Kabushiki-gaisha is a famous Japanese automobile maker founded in 1920 by Jujiro Matsuda. The company was first called Toyo Cork Kogyo Co., Ltd. Mazda is one of the largest auto companies in the world, selling more than one million vehicles worldwide in 2007.

Toyota Motor Corporation or Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki-gaisha is a famous Japanese automobile maker founded in 1937 by Kiichiro Toyoda. Toyota has grown to become one of the largest automobile companies in the world with a reputation for afforadability, reliability, and more recently economical.
